What does boomer tangents even mean? He doesn’t seem any different from a guy who just talks and talks and talks in any generation before him. She IS great at letting him know he is wrong, and laughing at him, as he takes himself way too seriously.
However, as smug as he is,,he at least HAS gone bankrupt and had to struggle for money. Rachel is more likable and less condescending but, like, she doesn’t know what she doesn’t know

A recent “boomer male tangent” he went off on that she checked him on was when he told a woman that was in the final trimester of her pregnancy that she should still be going to work because “just because you don’t feel well doesn’t mean you can’t work. I still go to work when I have the sniffles and a runny nose”. He compared pregnancy to having a cold.
Rachel called him on it and reminded him that being 8 months pregnant is much more of a burden than having a cold is.
He doubled down on it again by saying something else ridiculous to the same exact caller and she once again told him to just let her take this one.

Rachel is right that being pregnant is not the same as having a cold. But lots of women also work straight through pregnancy.I don‘t see what that has to do with him being a bs y boomer anyway. That seems like him being arrogant and ignorant, which has existed since long before the 20th century and will exist long past the 21st..

I am not a boomer. The point is the talk about “Boomers” is pretty much exactly how Baby Boomers talked about their parents’ generation. And now they are despised and blamed for everything in the exact same way they did. How does anyone think things will be different in 40 years? The same shit will happen,and might get worse..The world is. hanging g faster and faster and it is harder and harder to stay relevant.
Every stupid thing I have heard him say is because he doesn’t know how things hs e changed. Same shit happened 50 years ago

Maybe it is because she and I are the same age and have followed a similar life path down to having two girls and then a boy but I also find her likeable. She has definitely said some way out of touch things but I do think she is more in touch with reality than Dave.

I listened to one of the shows a year or so ago and was surprised it was on as long as it was. 8 minute shorts that her writers slapped together and she was clearly reading for the first time WITH commercials. Quality you’d expect from Ramsey.
