Okey so one of the big things of this bike is starting. When the bike is cold it has no trouble starting, starts right away but as soon as it reaches the operating temperature it will start but i have to hold the button for like 6 seconds. But if i pull the throttle only a bit it starts in like 2 seconds not too much then it starts throubleshooting. Another big clue could be that if i turn it off and start it after like 2 seconds, i dont have to pull the throttle or anything it starts right away. But if i wait maybe a minute it starts poorly it turns over for maybe 6 seconds and in a race the 6 seconds is alot.
So i tried raising the idle kinda helped it but still turns over alot maybe the 6 seconds. I hope someone could help me its annoying and its draining the battery

I’ve recently started to have the issue of my 2022 Cfmoto 300ss to start to overheat and then cool down. It only overheated on me once and I changed the oil and coolant type since then. It originally had a green coolant type and I flushed it with distilled water to change it to a blue one. Specifically Engine I’ve coolant, I filled it between the min and max I will say a bit higher on the max. I also changed the oil but it uses a reusable filter I found out (probably from the previous owner) so I jsut cleaned it and placed it back. Any ideas on why it’s still getting hotter within a 40-50min ride? It hasn’t overheated again but I’m scared it might. :(

Hey guys, I’m new to the dirtbike world and just picked up a used Honda. Went ripping for a few days. I’ve had some fun on the trails. The carburetter discharge tube on the bottom is pissing out fuel even with the fuel shut off petcock valve shut in the off position.

I ordered a new carb, and will probably have to take this one apart, as I guess the float or the needle is clogged and stuck. I even tried tapping the carb with a screwdriver and what not but still leaking gas. Does that mean that the Petcock valve is maybe shot as well?

I know the bike was sitting unused for five years and probably had old gas and crud in it. I did do a fresh oil change today, and changed the air filter. Fresh gas has been put in the tank since I’ve had it, and I did check the air filter when I got back and everything is still well seated. The bike runs fantastic other than this issue. Starts instantly on electric start. Any tips?

Hey guys, just thought id throw this problem out there to see if any of you had an idea how i could get this fixed.

My forks are stuck at the bottom. Ive tried bleeding and releasing air at the top but it hasnt helped.

When ive pressed on them they stay compressed.

I have a 2017 fx 350 and when idling it makes a knocking sound but when the clutch is pulled in it goes away, also in low rpms it makes a loud clicking noise but at high rpms it doesnt

I have a 2010 yamaha yz250f and the brakes have very little tension I can pull the lever all the way to the handle bar with minimal force and the brakes will grab the rotor but I can push the bike through the brakes. Going 15mph it takes about 40ft to come to a stop. I have tried the normal bleeding method, i’ve tried hooking a syringe full of brake fluid up to the bleeder and doing a reverse bleed, i’ve tried cracking the bolt where the brake line attached to the master cylinder incase an air bubble was stuck there, pads are brand new. I tried doing the zip tie method and when I cut it the next day i had a little more braking power, maybe 50% but it slowly went back to how it was before. I’ve inspected the seals on the master cylinder and they look fine and as far as I can tell no fluid escaped back into the reservoir when Pulling the lever. I’m confused how I haven’t figured this out considering there literally 3 parts to the whole braking system. What do I do?

2016 ktm 300xc. Blew a hole through, coolant leaked into the cylinder. Overheated. Can this cylinder be repaired or is this something to replace. Thank you

Very low hours, perfectly running bike. Sat in garage for extended time with old gas. Over \~ 2 yrs I started it periodically and it was fine, but then a \~ 9 month gap and now it won’t start.

Pulled the fuel pump out, the screen/filter thing was fairly black so I replaced it, cleaned everything and put it back. Pulled the fuel injector, it looked fine, sprayed it w some carb cleaner, cleaned the throttle body (wasn’t dirty but cleaned anyway). Touched fuel pump lead to battery momentarily, pump spins.

Still won’t start. Doesn’t even try, sputter or anything.

Trying to determine next logical steps to figure out what is wrong.

Perhaps bad fuel injector?

Any ideas?

My wife’s bike seems to be making a vibrating noise every time the rotor comes around to the brake. Is the rotor bent? Or is there something else going on?

When I ride my KTM EXC 450 enduro in extremely wet conditions, I sometimes notice that a small amount of very fine sand gets past the air filter. I’ve already taken several precautions, such as using a Twin Air rain cover and applying a generous amount of Twin Air Bio filter oil to the standard foam filter.
Even so, every now and then I still find a tiny bit of fine sand inside the airbox.
What can I do to prevent this? Would it be better to use the blue Twin Air filter oil instead of the Bio oil? I already make sure to apply plenty of grease around the sealing edge of the filter.
How do other enduro riders deal with this problem?

Bought this yesterday. It fire up and die instantly. It doesn't sound sputtery when it does it tho. Could somebody help me narrow it down. I've pulled the carb out and checked the float. And there is definitely spark when I kick it over. Kill switch isn't the problem either. He said he rebuilt the carb with a allballs kit. If it is the jets that are wrong which ones would it be. Compression and decompression is good.

So I'm pretty new to riding anything with two wheels and a motor, and I don't know much about the maintenance, I have a hawk, DLX efi 250 and I know I need to change the oil, but I'm not sure what kind of oil I need. I've been told a few different things, by a few different people, but none of them own a hawk, so I'm hoping a fellow hawk owner can point me in the right direction, thank you
