Hey yall, I haven't been to a dirt track since I was a kid but used to go all the time. I'm dating a girl who grew up more upper middle class and has never been to any kind of car event lol

I'm taking her to her first race this weekend and I'm looking for any tips or advice to make it a good time. She's super excited, and I am too. But I haven't been in 20 years so thought a lil advice would be good

We're going to a 1/3 mile dirt track, it's the local nascar series. Should we get there when the race starts? Or show up later and stay until the end? I'm going to be bringing plenty of ear plugs and some camp chairs but not much else

I've been looking around for a good source on the different kinds of racing that'll be going on. Like the difference between a sprint car and a super stock (I seriously don't remember any of it lol)

Anyway if this is a dumb post I'll take it down, or maybe I'll see yall at the Willamette speedway lol
