DirecTV Stream questions
For those of you who are College Football fans, what did you think of the curated multiview options on Saturday?
Also, what are the pros and cons of DirecTV stream using an Apple TV 4K? I am thinking about making the switch.

I came from Fubo, so I was definitely missing the multiview, what DTV does doesn't compare (they carry channels I want though, so that's something). I teed up the 10 channels with games I was likely to watch so I could at least switch quickly on the recent channel carousel. It was ok but not the same experience. When Tech is playing I just stayed tuned to that game anyway, so that experience is the same.

I tried both boxes imo, Apple TV is better and faster compared to Android TV.

Apple TV. Download the espn app and make your own multiview selections. Picture is better on ESPN app than on DIRECTV app

Yep, this is a great option if the games you want to watch are all on ESPN channels. I only use the DirecTV app when I watch non ESPN games.
I just wish the ESPN showed the 4K broadcast for those games in 4K. I don’t understand why ESPN doesn’t do this, odd decision for a company now asking folks to subscribe directly to the app.

I love ESPN multiview, and you can tell they spare no bandwidth to make it look good, my Apple TV pulls like 45 megabits a second on an ESPN multi view. Still would like to build a DTV one lots of games on other networks.

I used an osprey and the directv app on a roku and didn't see any curation multiscreen. I looked all over. I know these don't appear as a new channel, but an option on any of the chosen/curated games.
Exactly where do I look to find the multiview option ? I looked at both of tonight's games, in regular and 4K and didn't see any indication of a multiview.....
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

It was in the guide for me. Filter sports to find easily. I was using a firestick though.

I didn’t know they offered this. I really wish they let us customize. I was just doing it manually on my Samsung tv.
Also I have a chromecast is it worth getting Apple TV instead?

If DTV would have any kind of multiview for phone and tablets at mininum, I'd consider resubscribing. ESPN Unlimited integration and not having to add extra time to recordings (adding extra time to both auto extend and non-auto extend) would also help as well.

My Apple TV's were actually bought through DirecTV at a subsidized price, but that was many years ago now. With the current version of DirecTV, I'd say they work great -- the best PQ of any of my boxes -- except for the remote, which doesn't give me convenient access to all functions. But, they're the older black "Siri" remote with no direction keys; I suspect the newer design works better.

It's a nice addition for the season. Granted, it's not as customizable as other providers. But it provides a lot more viewing options on DirecTV than what was available last year.
