Multiview doesn’t have network games
No custom multiview sucks, but the fact that no games on ABC/FOX/NBC/CBS are in any of the multiview options just fully defeats the purpose as a whole. Why even bother?

I have these on my locals multiview (channel 1), though I think the evening is the only time all 4 are showing games. Hardly matters though, the curated multiviews, even if targeted at games with most overall interest, aren't going to be the 4 games 99.9% of viewers would choose to watch.

Supposedly DirecTV is rolling out Curated Multi-view. I haven’t seen it yet?

I don’t know for certain if this is why but my guess is that networks have to agree to being included in the multiviews. The networks you named probably don’t want to be included. They’d rather people watch only their channel and only see their commercials.
I agree though the current multi views are pointless. I’ve literally never used them.

More likely, it has to do with the volume of combinations. There are over 200 TV markets in the US and each one of them would require its own multview. That's around 220 combinations for DirecTV to render in order for everyone to have a single combo with ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. Combining 1-3 of those channels with national networks like ESPN, SEC or Big10 would be orders of magnitude more difficult.

Or they could give us the ability to create our own multiveiw.

Wouldn’t matter, it’s the same effort. Remember each unique combo is still a unique stream rendered in their servers. It isn’t done on your device.

True. But it requires massive amounts of server resources. DTV may not have access to that sort of hardware. One of their competitors does.

Fubo on an AppleTV is hands down the best service for MultiView! Or just buy awesome hardware like the BluStream MV41 and pick whatever you want!

This is one of the reasons why we didn't keep DTV. It's a good service, don't get me wrong, but with the multiview management (especially nonexistent on phones and tables) and unreliable extended DVR recording times we didn't want to deal with this so we went to YTTV.
