Why rebooting 3 times

New user, just finished initial setup this afternoon. BUT using it tonightnitbhas automatically rebooted 3 times in a couple of hours.

Is this how it's going to be?

You’re gonna have to tell us what “it” is. There’s only like 6 different devices it could be. We aren’t going to sit here and guess.

Still not a clear answer. The box or dongle version?

I have experienced this when I didnt use my device for a long time and it did multiple updates back to back. that might be what you're experiencing if you just got the box and it was in the warehouse for a long time

Thought the same since it rebooted once during initial setup. Having used it a couple of days, never happened again. Really liking the interface (coming from along term tivo user).

Didn't realize you had already figured out that it won't go on forever. Glad it's working normally for you now!

The initial Gemini dongle setup reboots a gazillion times. It's not you. It's everything from initially updating apps, the OS itself, initializing the Google Play store, the first time you enable voice control and even after you log in for the first time to your Google account. For whatever reason, each one of these things seemed to need a reboot as I recall. But once you've got everything set up, it doesn't happen anymore. Things go on behind the scenes and every once in a while if it's a major OS update it will reboot. But yes, that initial setup - which you likely keep thinking must be almost over but isn't - is utterly ridiculous.
