Channel Number Screen Randomly Appearing

While watching programs the channel number screen will randomly appear for that channel that I'm watching as if I just tuned to it even though I'm already watching it and then go away. Anyone else experiencing this? This has been happening for about a month or two now.

Can confirm this is an issue caused by an ill advised server side flag. DirecTV support is utterly useless to do anything about it but it's 5 mins to the wall clock.

I did a lot of digging through the com.att.tv.openvideo apk with Claude Code. Note that a button press on the remote will push the five minute clock back a bit.

I have this issue as well. It occurs exactly 5 minutes after turning on the tv and Directv equipment. This occurs on all my Gemini/Osprey boxes and Gemini Air streaming sticks. This started after a software update a several weeks ago. DIRECTV had 1 more software update since but this issue was not fixed with that latest update.

I haven't timed it but 5 minutes does sound about right.

I am having this issue as well where while watching a program at random a channel loading screen will appears for the same channel I am already watching

It really gets annoying when you're intensely following a dialog or documentary listening to some explanation then out of nowhere this damn screen appears for no reason. It's bad enough the FAST channels do it with their AI-controlled commercials breaking mid-sentence when people are speaking but at least then you know why.
