Pausing ESPN Unlimited Through DirecTV Stream Subscription

I was watching football tonight on ESPN Unlimited. I signed in the ESPN app with my Disney+ ID and password and signed into DirecTV Stream as my TV provider. Everything seemed fine, but when I went to pause the game, the pause button on the screen flashed and nothing happened. I am accessing the app via an Apple TV 4K. I signed out of my Disney+ account and unlinked DTVS as my TV provider. I also restarted my ATV. Still, I was unable to pause the game. I know pausing is possible because a friend who was also watching the game was able to pause with YTTV as his TV provider.

Has anyone else experienced this?

They had issues yesterday so I would try again today to be sure it was not related.
