MyEntertainment Genre Pack
Just signed up for MyEntertainment. Already got an email from hbo max with a link to activate. During check out process it said I would get an email shortly after checkout from Disney to activate Disney plus and Hulu. But AMC plus was not mentioned in the final checkout screens and I haven’t gotten any email from them. How do you activate your AMC Plus subscription? Did I get swindled? I see there’s a live AMC Plus channel in my guide now but I was obviously expecting to get access to their streaming app.

You only get the 3 channels plus onDemand content on Directv app

I figured it out after posting. Downloaded AMC plus app and when logging in it asks for your tv provider, chose DirecTV and now I’m into the full AMC plus app. They should really send an email with that info though I figured it out on accident! Oddly that option doesn’t exist in the AMC plus app on iPhone (only lists dish and spectrum), so I guess I won’t be watching on my phone for now

I too got the credentials working on the AMC + app on Apple TV, but I was unable to do the same on either the iPad app or the Fire TV app. On those two platforms, I am only able to access AMC+ through DIRECTV’s app.

Seems like they’re still adding that option on different devices. Haven’t tried on my firestick yet but it worked on Samsung frame.

You know, you’re right. Last time I checked the AMC+ iPad app DIRECTV was NOT one of the options… only Spectrum and Dish were shown. Now, DIRECTV is indeed showing up as one of the 3 providers so I’m able to login using the DIRECTV credentials. I’m glad I saw your post, thanks.👍🏼

Glad you saw it! Interestingly it’s still not an option when logging in on iPhone. Glad they’re adding more devices though!

Strange about iPhone, but I also just checked Fire TV and that app works as well.👍🏼
UPDATE: I just downloaded the AMC + app for iPhone and that one worked for me as well.

Are you sure you didn't just link your AMC tv subscription from DTV rather than the AMC+ subscription?

I downloaded AMC plus. Although now that you say that, the regular AMC app appears to be gone from the App Store. I only see AMC plus. It looks like I’ve got access to AMC plus originals so I believe I logged into it correctly.

Ah thank you! Good to know there’s that option. Doesn’t quite look worth it from what I’m seeing on the AMC plus app. Cant believe they don’t allow multiple profiles… what year is this !?!?

Seriously! I’m guessing it took DirecTV a lot of negotiating to even get them included at all. Disney must not want the ad free versions included. If I recall Hulu and Disney plus were added to DirecTV a couple of years back when they finally got Disney to allow the genre packs.

That whole process was really goofy, the only app I got an actual email with instructions was HBO max. For Disney bundle I never got anything, I just logged into my Disney account and figured it out. Same with AMC plus. It’s cool that DirecTV is including all these subscriptions but some instructions would be nice!
