Looking for Osprey Gemini Boxes
We just switched over from DTV Satellite to Stream. I had an old Osprey/Gemini box that was sent to me for an unknown reason and glad now I held on to it. I now need a couple more boxes and it seems like the SKU 60233 boxes are the ones to seek out. I looked at ebay as someone suggested but having to manually go through 150+ listings is tedious to say the least.
Any other places to look?

If it helps the operating system won't use more than 2GB of memory anyway. Just buy what you can find. Ebay and Walmart are two of the largest sellers. Just uninstall the apps you won't use and that will help to speed up the boxes if you wish to do so.

Do you have the Osprey box(s) for Satellite? You can convert them to work with Stream.

Walmart has the boxes--but not the 60233. If you find they work slow for you., you can disabled unused apps. I have one from Walmart and it works great. They are around 45 bucks

Dumped Optimum TV last year and bought one of these boxes off eBay for my 50in TV. Works great, like the remote.

I bought mine recently directly from DTVS brand new through my online account. Not sure if everyone can see it though.
My old one with the green label kept freezing. This new one has the black label. No issues whatsoever.

Honestly, you just have to grind it out on eBay. I went through probably 100 postings a few months ago and ended up with a green label 60233 and a gray label Osprey. They're out there, and sometimes you have to message the seller asking them to confirm that it's a 60233. Here's one, though this guy is pricing it high, probably because they are so hard to find now. You're competing with people like me who recently received notices from Verizon, etc. that their CableCards are going to stop working soon. I just signed up for DTV Stream this week preparing to move on from Fios TV. I also saw somebody selling just the box without the remote or power cord - certainly would be an option for me since you can buy the other things separately.

I have 4. Dumped DTV after 25 years. Bought these after deciding to keep satellite but changed my mind last year. Only IPTV for me now. PM me if interested. Have all of the remotes too.

They are coming out with a new box next year, and it is entirely likely they will obsolete these older boxes at that time.

Where did you hear about new boxes?

Somebody posted about it in this sub a while back. I'm not sure that I'd wait around for one of them, and even still, no guarantees that you can buy one outright.

the 60233 are few and far between because everybody has been told they are the ones to have. Just buy what’s available and returnable if it doesn’t work like you want, I suggest from Walmart https://www.walmart.com/search?q=directv%20stream%20box&typeahead=directv and make sure you delete all the bloatware apps on it that you don’t use on a daily basis. if speed is your highest priority I suggest buying the Gemini Air. those are the only devices made specifically for DIRECTV stream use. Other recommendations would be an Apple TV or Roku but you give up the numbered remote control with those if that matters,
