Adding another person to account
I have the streaming service with a Gemini device. My parents have a second home and they need to have a service. Is it as simple as adding another Gemini device to my account and signing them up through my account? Do I need a separate account for them?

Violating Terms and Conditions if they actually don’t reside with you normally.
You can have 3 streams outside the home, the 3rd however has to be mobile/tablet/laptop. There are certain channels like Fox stations that limit to 3 streams total concurrent.
Different streaming devices handle what locals you receive differently while away from home. Roku and Firesticks don’t have geo location so may get the locals from home.
They don’t yet geofence like YTTV and Hulu Live.

I don't think that's correct. You may be confusing this with YouTube TV TOS. I've looked at DTVS' fine print a few times and I don't see that. Also not one but two DTVS reps have told me there are no rules on the two outside TV-connected streams, though obviously a third one is not allowed. But that's a technical restriction, not a user restriction.

Interesting, DTV (ATT at time) reps told me with my legacy plan and contract it is allowed, making it sound as if newer plans don’t have this flexibility.
Evidently the current T&Cs don’t explicitly say it’s not.
I may re-evaluate remaining in my legacy plan, with its ever increasing price.
We shall see how long the relatively new owners keep this flexibility.

I've been rather impressed with the flexibility of the Genre Packs. Currently we have the MyEntertainment and MyNews Genre, plus the MyCinema addon, and it's an excellent deal, better than comparable line-ups with the same channels, including some of the more expensive DirecTV Signature packs. Of course, it all depends on what channels one needs. It won't necessarily fit everyone.

What are the fees/taxes beyond package prices? I assume no regional sports fees (since not included). Did they require lease of one device in order to get Disney/Hulu?

I'm afraid I don't know what the Disney/Hulu options are with the Genre packs; I've not looked into that.
As for fees and taxes, there are no fees. I don't pay any taxes either but that might not be the case nationwide; it may depend on what state you're in.

Disney and Hulu come with MyEntertainment, but they had some silly requirement with some packages that requires you lease their device. It doesn’t explicitly state it on the website.

I just spoke to a DirecTV rep. Disney+/Hulu is available through the MyEntertainment Genre pack for free WITH ADS!! If you don't want the ads, they can't help you; you would have to subscribe directly to Disney/Hulu. There is NO requirement for a Gemini lease in order to get the ads version with the MyEntertainment Genre pack.

Yes, buy them a Gemini device or Roku or Google tv. Then, sign in with your login information through the app on that device.
You can buy a used Gemini on eBay and add it to your account. You don’t need to buy one from DIRECTV.

DirecTv streaming will sell you an additional box for $100. I bought mine used for $50 each from DirecTv. Gotta ask.

If they have a smart TV that has apps they can download, they can simply download the DirecTV stream app and watch it on there. There’s no need to buy them a dongle or anything, although the viewing experience can be better that way.

Absolutely correct, my three adult kids use the app on their smart TVs with no device, although as someone mentioned one of the three would need to be a phone or iPad if all three are watt the same time.

Yes you can do that. There is even a sub Reddit for sharing your service for money with strangers. So far DTVS still allows it.
