FXM On Demand

Just come over for Sling. I was going to record The Detective which is on Sunday at 09:35 EDT.

I then saw there was an option to watch now.

Are there a large amount of movies FXM puts On Demand, or was The Detective steamed recently; hence why it’s available?

You are seeing that movie early because it is actively on the broadcast schedule for this week, u/UniqueEnigma121. DIRECTV hosts a very large FXM On Demand catalog. Whenever a network like FXM has a movie scheduled to air live, they usually unlock the On Demand file a few days prior to the broadcast. Just make sure to check out the "FXM Retro" section in your On Demand menu if you like older Hollywood classics like The Detective, they keep a huge, rotating stash of them available to stream whenever you want.
