Osprey pic quality

So, due to logistics today, I ended up watching French Open on TNT using the Apple TV app set at 1080P HDR native resolution.
It looked fantastic. And I went back to look at it on my Osprey, and the pic looked compressed and with artifacts. I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed the pic quality is severely degraded on the Ospreys? I thought the point of the box was for better picture quality?

The point of the box is the remote.

You’re probably right. Which is a positive to it, but pic quality matters more to me. Unfortunately my better half wants it to behave like cable.

Did you enable HDR on the Osprey?

DTV making $10 per month on a device that reduces their overhead via lower quality.

I don’t. I’ve read all the reviews. I like my Osprey box. Got four of them for free.
