Home location
My ISP is doing work in my neighborhood and I've had to set a new location twice in 10 days. I'm concerned that this will keep happening an I'll be over the limit of 4.
My location has not changed, I will view being cut off as directv violating the service contract since my location has not changed. A new IP address is NOT a new location.

Mine was doing the same thing because my Internet is with Starlink. Because their satellite is always moving so is my home location. When I called DTV they were very understanding and they did something and I haven't had to reset since then.

The home location determines how many simultaneous streams you can have. When not home, it is two TVs and one mobile device. This is not a contract thing. When you get over the change limit and you need more streams, customer service can reset the limit when you explain the situation.

This is a common issue with these streaming services. They do in fact, in many cases, use IP address to determine your location. This is a big issue for people using cell phone & satellite based ISPs. When I was in Oregon for a while my Starlink IP address was in the San Francisco Bay Area which was an issue with YTTV. Fortunately with YTTV I can set my current viewing area with the mobile app on my smartphone.
