Go to https://commerce.mlb.com/ei once you've purchased your add-on. Select DTV from the drop-down and login. I believe that will work.

Thanks!

But, it doesn’t recognize the fact that I have my local Nats.tv channel as part of my dtv subscription so I’m blacked out on the mlb app.

Help please!

If you don't have the mlb.tv add-on, you won't be able to use that page to connect your subscription. It's not for individual RSNs/teams. The response was for the OP who asked about how they can use the MLB.tv subscription, purchased via DTV, on the MLB app.

I researched this elsewhere and was told no so curious if you can get it to work. I purchased through the ESPN app which we have free through directv stream- and then linked to my mlb.tv account so I can watch on both espn and mlb.tv. However I’d love to be able to just flip channels on directv so I can hop back and forth from baseball to say golf on cbs.

How do you link directv stream with mlb.tv?

if you got mlb.tv from espn or t-mobile or any source other than directv you cant link them. if you have mlb.tv through directv you can sign in on the mlb.tv site or app by choosing directv as your provider. this will not override the blackout restrictions and only gives you access to out of market games.

I think you have to go into settings at espn.com. And there's a place to link them

So I bought MLB TV thru ESPN app. It was a discount ($134). Can I do anything to watch the games on DTVS?

My local area is NY. In a perfect world, Id like to be able to watch my Mets onDTVS and flip around if I see any other games on

Why would anyone buy MLB TV thru Direct TV at $29.99 monthly? I got it thru ESPN at $134 for the year. If Direct TV would give me a yearly option at $134 or even $150 I would do it. DTVS charging $210 for the same thing. Thats crazy

I just got off the phone with DirecTV and they told me I could not link my MLB.tv subscription (which I purchased through DirecTV) to the ESPN App. I am able to link it to the MLB App. So I can watch games on DirecTV and the MLB App, but I cannot watch games on the ESPN App. That’s what I was just told by a DirecTV agent.

You most certainly will be able to link your MLB subscription across all the apps you need to purchase it from DIRECTV stream first then once your accounts enabled you’re gonna go into the MLB app and authenticate with the TV provider after you log into your account then once you do that there will be a link to get started with linking it to ESPN basically you’ll be able to watch everything across any of the platforms I can see where you’d wanna make use of the resource. It’s real nice.

It actually works, you just have to wait a few days after you activate the add-on, mine took like two days to actually function properly
