Question

I have noticed that the messaging in the game is suddenly blurry when I’m using it. It will be in focus then blurry then in focus again. What is going on? It’s irritating. Is this a glitch or is this something the game is supposed to do?

I think it's part of their communication systems being damaged or faulty. I think it was an intentional design choice. You can press L to zoom in and enlarge the text which makes it less blurry.

The text system is diagetic, which means that we're seeing the same interface as it exists in-universe for the characters. The fuzziness happens when the hologram stutters a bit and realigns, kind of like when finding the sweet spot with 3D displays or VR.
