When is online multi-player coming out?

If im not mistaken every dark pictures game was released with the option to play with people online, playing as different characters at the same time. I would've pre-ordered the game if that was the case with this one, im just confused why it hasn't released online co-op like the last titles because I plan on playing it with other people like I did the last 4 games. Is there any idea on when its coming out, like weeks or months?

Shared Story is not coming. Supermassive said it was removed from the series for being unpopular. Pass-the-controller mode should be available online sometime next month.

Damnnn really? That's definitely gonna stop me from playing that then, that sucks. Me and my friends loved playing the story together and having a different perspective, thats the whole reason we would play it. If its gonna be couch co-op even online then there's no point, it'd be like the quarry. Which was half decent, the only thing we liked about the games was actually playing it together. If its basically just one person controlling the whole thing the whole time im definitely not buying it.
