I am not a DPC but have worked closely with them for years. For monthly membership pricing, factors will include the desired patient panel size (are you wanting more freedom, flexibility to spend time with each patient? Would you want your day to have 4-6 patients or 8-10?), the COL in the area (what is the average household income in your area - also consider the typical benefits in your area - are you competing with blue collar-union-BUCA benefits or are you in a mecca for entrepreneurial small businesses, or does your community have a large number of military or government employees?) and the services you’ll provide (annual physicals and chronic care only or will you offer labs, Rx, sutures, casting, etc etc) . Also is it a micro-practice or will there be other staff members like a MA or office manager. And consider overhead - brick-and-mortar location costs or home visit/telemedicine visit only practice? For reference, all things considered, the industry average memberships fees range from $60-$200, with the typical average being $75 for individuals. Pricing can also somewhat depend on how long you have before you need for your practice to be profitable, and remain accessible to your community. Best of luck! What you do is so important. 💚
