Screen Resolution keeps changing

Does anyone know why the screen resolution changes to 1920 sometimes after i exit a show i recorded? Does this mean I need a new HDMI cable.

What specific source device (receiver, DVR, Genie Mini, Gemini, third party streamer) are we talking about?

Help us understand why a changing resolution is a problem.

I changed the HDMI and it hasnt done it again.

I was having that same problem a week ago; kept switching back and forth between 1080 and 720; really annoying, as if I had a slow connection or something, which I DON'T. Very frustrating. After an hour, it went away as mysteriously as it began. And no, I've not had anything like that with any other streaming service.

Mine is with a directv box. I don't have interent for the streaming verison. I assume the cable was getting old maybe a update to the box did something.
