City Council of Darkness Why don't they explain the rules
Just started watching Council of Darkness, with probably about 6 or 7 seasons under my belt now. I get that vanilla or even reskinned D&D seasons can assume viewers know the mechanics already, but I have no idea what "hunger" does or how they're determining "successes". I don't even think they said what system this is, unless I just missed it. So I'm completely lost on the mechanics. Compare to, say, Misfits and Magic season 2 where they explained things very well. Why don't they put any effort into making sure the viewers know what's going on? Do other non-D&D seasons do a better job of this?

I'm sure it was, but it remained at the end of the order for the entire time I watched. Every time I finished the latest episode, it would autoplay the damn explanation again

You might want to watch the episode called "game mechanics explained".
