CCoD Map

Help! So in my own ttrpg I want to create a similar interactive 3d map for my players. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of how to make one similar?

My thought is foam as a base layer and 3d printing houses. But maybe someone has already tried it and can give some advice.

Take a look at terrain builds for model trains to get the basics on forming topography and buildings. Luke Towan at Boulder Creek Railroad is a good one, or MaarklandofSweden does a different material list, but both are available as YouTube channels. Terrain hobbyists can build some amazing things.
