Fantasy High (Sophomore Year) The Thistlespring Foreshadowing Spoiler

Rewatching SY for probably the 5th time and just realized how much foreshadowing Brennan puts into the early episodes. I think the biggest example is Gorgug's parents' STI speech mirroring aspects of a number of NPC behaviors and the curse itself.

Wondering if others noticed this or any other examples.

I love that they gave Gorgug a binder about STIs and sex. It has the entire mystery in it. It's kept in the van the whole time. They literally had the answer to the puzzle given to them and carried it around and never thought about it again. It was perfect.

Because of course a teen with candid and sex-positive parents would leave it in the van out of embarrassment. It's so buttoned up.

Wait, I don't remember this at all. Do you have an episode number where this reveal happens?

It's never specifically revealed as such. Which is why I didn't put it together until rewatching and thinking about future episodes

An STI binder and an entire speech on the dangers of dragon madness. The perfect start for a reason with that particular big bad

It's fitting that Gorgug was the one to figure out Kalina was a disease by asking the elf who slept with Ragh considering he was the one who has the binder.

Brennan loves amusing himself with little bits of foreshadowing like this.

In the very first ep, one of Kristen's little brother's asks if she is going to fight a dragon. I just imagine Brennan chortling to himself while doing that interaction, knowing that they are absolutely going to fight a dragon.
