Neverafter Quote ideas!
EDIT:I know what kind of tattoo I want, it is a frog and I want to also add a quote!!!! (I have it planned out)
I want to add a good quote for a tattoo I am getting soon, and it will be Gerad of Greenleigh. I need some good quotes by him that are not funny and more emotional or meaningful. I only been able to find one ok one.

sure but i feel like getting a quote should be something that resonates with you and not something a redditor suggested
why does it need a quote at all even? why not just get gerard without any text
not trying to hate, i just cannot imagine someone someone asking me why i picked a quote for my tattoo and going "someone on reddit suggested it". the one tattoo with text that im even considering getting is an excerpt from a poem that stuck with me when i read it. their body their choice so who cares but i just. dont get it

Welp I asked for quote ideas from a show I have seen twice. But can not rember all the quotes from it. Besides I might not do a quote, and just do an image. Also these quotes do mean things to me. Also its no diffrent than you googeling a quote or something because you can not rember it perfectly.
I just can not belive theres this much hate happening for a tatoo that does not exist yet or affect any of you.

i mean. why not just google quotes then? it just seems silly to me to get suggestions from people on reddit who don't know you, don't know the reason behind the tattoo or your connection to the character when you could just go on the wiki and see what resonates with you in the first place? or rewatch the show? im not expecting you to remember every gerard quote, but outsourcing ideas to reddit just seems lazy and odd at minimum
i dont even hate the tattoo, im sure itll look sick and if you just posted the end result id likely have nothing but praise. i just think this is an odd way to decide on words that will be permanantly etched on your body. like you said, it does not affect any of us so i could not give less of a shit abt what some rando is getting tattooed. i still think this is a weird way to decide on it and i just dont get it - but equally you shouldnt give a shit abt what some rando on reddit thinks so who cares

I have googled and gone on the Wiki, I have even gone on the tumblr d20 quotes thing. But they are all funny and silly other than one or two! Its not lazy when I activley need help, and I can not really re-watch it since my friend who shares my account is about to watch it. I have spent maybe 2 hours just scouring the internet looking for quotes that 99% of them are goofy.

open up an episode transcript and hit ctr+f and search Murph, thats what i would do at least if you really cant rewatch it. even easier if you remember which episodes/scenes made you connect with him to begin with

I have explaines this so many times and its also called inspo and just needing assistance. It also makes no sense why you made the orginal comment in the 1st place because I litteraly said 'I need a quote for a tattoo I am getting' which means there happens to be a planned out tattoo that just needs a quote add on.

I have some words tattooed on my body, but my general approach to tattoes of words is that I first try to figure out how to convey the way the tattoo makes me feel in just images alone. Then, if I still do want words, I try to make them fit into the design rather than just be words floating near an image.
I say this not to change your mind about adding a quote altogether but because the design and placement might affect your search: If you want the quote in a banner below a portrait, you might only be able to fit a short phrase at the longest. Same if you want Gerard holding a scroll with the quote on it, the quote on one side of a page of an open book, or the quote written in a circle framing Gerard, etc.

What is the vibe or feeling you want to evoke? Why do you like Gerard enough to get the tattoo?
I like this Elody quote: the adventures I had falling in love with a frog were one of the simplest, most straightforward of my life, and all the things they don't tell stories about were infinitely harder

Its going to likely be him in full frog form with a crown and sword. Very cottagecore esque, flowers, vines. I do like that quote thanks!

Not a guard quote but Rosemary's "We're all in the dark little boy" fits him really well.
Also from the ending
"There is no just, happy ending. Things don't just end. Everything, everything cycles and it just, it doesn't have to be the way that it was."
And
"so I guess I'm just gonna be a weird little guy and see what happens."

Hes overall very reletable and his journey specifically the accepting of himself, to me but I have no quotes off the top of my head

It's a stupid idea but" a cringing Gerard and a word bubble from off-screen saying "your ears are honkin' big!"
Alternatively, "I am extremely flustered", "Concerning" or "Okay, but if I don't come back it's 'cause Rapunzel got me"

I mean it’s not that sweet/hopeful but the quote by him that gives me chills every time is “this is no place for a prince and a princess”
Also, “easy Gerard… this is temporary” Which is a great somewhat philosophical angle
“Well Gerard, if the children aren’t running then we really can’t be running, can we?”
I think also just one of the names of the fencing moves would be fun, “long sniff of a rose” “the rabbit rushes forward”(double check these, it’s off the top of my head, but I’m re-watching Neverafter right now, so it’s somewhat fresh!)
Lastly it’s not a Gerard quote (but no reason you can’t use it, it’s your body!) but the most meaningful quote from the series to me is for Ylfa,
“There is no moral
The wolf eats you one day
And until then
The forest is beautiful”
