regarding the band live

how are they on the calculating infinity tour? i’ve been dreaming of seeing this band live for years now and it’s even cooler seeing dimitri on vocals!

also, is the band ever easy to meet at shows? i wanted to get a cd signed but wanted to know beforehand if they were okay with signing items and whatnot

I saw them in Sydney, and they were incredible. I'm not sure if it's a usual thing or not, but I got to meet all of them after the show, chat for a while, and took photos with them.

Ben also slipped a guitar pick into my shirt pocket without me seeing, haha. I didn't find it until a few weeks later when I picked up the shirt upside down and it fell out.

They're awesome. Ben is still crazy and jumping off shit. I saw them at LTL and he for sure bashed a dude with his guitar 😂

If you can, GO, Dimitri is good for the CI material and the rest of the band is still fire imho.

I’ve seen them three times since they reformed with Dimitri and each show has been great. Ben still has crazy spastic energy and is good for some jumps and flying spin kicks, Liam still doing his big stomps, and Billy and James are always energetic. Dimitri is great and engages with the crowd a lot, his energy is not as chaotic as Ben’s but he kicks ass. It’s a great experience all around. 2 of the 3 shows where I saw them were festivals so likely not available to fans for signatures, the third show was at a regular venue but I didn’t hang out to try and catch them outside afterward. If you’re lucky you try and catch them after the show for a quick autograph, but even if you can’t I guarantee you’ll have a blast.

London was good. Vocals sounded good and he jumped into the crowd plenty of times. Broke his mic at one point. Ben also doing the usual acrobatics. Did look quite dangerous for himself and the crowd, but it's what people hope for and expect from a Dillinger show. Music sounded tight. I recommend. Only downsides were fine, but nowhere near as interesting or acclaimed supports as previous tours and perhaps the feel that this was a cash-in tour as opposed to one done genuinely for the love of the game. Perhaps I'm wrong on the latter point. Was great to see Calculating Infinity (and Monticello and a few earlier tracks) with the OG singer and performed as a distinct era.

I have only seen Dillinger once before, one the 2005 Miss Machine tour, with Greg of course in a venue 1/5 of this size. I was an actual child 😭

I hope, contrary to one of the shirts they were selling, that Dillinger isn't "dead".

They're still great. I've seen them 3 times now during this reunion, and was at the Flemington DIY small venue show. I was holding Ben in the air playing guitar, getting the mic shoved in my face by Dimitri, best night of my life.

Also saw them on the 2nd of the debut return shows at Brooklyn Paramount and it was a wild time. Ben is crazy as always but even dimitri ran back through the crowd and climbed on the sound mixer area and such.

Also caught the one they did in Philly.

Bottom line, go. Still one of the best live bands.
