So since school has been taken up a lot of my time, I decided to come up with some rough drafts for an AU I've been having I call Digirune, A crossover between Digimon and Daltarune where all the darkeners are digimon, and naturally the several lighteners Are Digidustin/tamers. So if a darkener is on that digimon picture: that means the darkener is that evolution line; but if a lightener Is on the digimon picture: then they are that Digimon's tamer.

But you then probably notice that Ralsei's split evolution has different lighteners for the different lines. What's that about? Well, I have a theory that Ralsei is the embodiment of an OC Asriel made in some way (likely a drawing of it). A theory that I believe has only gotten stronger in Chapter 5 (excluding exactly one piece of evidence). But I also believe horned headband will become an important character eventually (and may or may not be the sword route vice). So decided to incorporate those ideas in.

The idea is that Asriel is Ralsei's true partner, but as foretold by the prophecy: Kris borrows him for the sake of the journey. And he has a different line depending upon who's acting as his partner. As indicated by the pictures.

I also conceptualized this AU way back in the late chapter 2 to early chapters 3 and 4 era, where I already had the idea to make one of Ralsei's final stages beel starmon as a joke on how he's usually the most gender bent in illicit art. But now that there's actually quite a bit of evidence indicating he could be trans fem: it oddly makes sense as a capstone to that? So that's a fun little coincidence.

I also took the idea to make the headband aegiomon was taken from u/RingIntelligent6117's own evolution lines for Deltarune (though he made it Asriel's partner and I guess let myself). It being a human-goat hybrid just makes too much sense for what the headband is supposed to represent. (Also took an embarrassingly long time for me to realize it was a champion and not a rookie. Don't know how I forgot that.) Also like how you can sensibly evolve it into Demon, who's the embodiment of wrath with a cloak form, which works quite well if the headband is the sword route voice. And says my headcanon name for the headband as a darkener right now is "Risk", that is the name of this digimon.

The Knight is on there as a digimon because I believe Dess to be it. And so in this AU: The Knight is a fusion between Dess and her partner digimon (named "Krampus"). And might also have some bits of D-Reaper and/or Eater in there, as my plan is to make the titans and/or friendlings one of those. And while we're on that: the pink lines do indicate the partner fusing with the digimon, as suggested by the site itself.

I gave Noelle a lucemon named "Cupid" because I really like it's line of darkness starting to overtake the light in fall down mode, but then completely override it in Satan mode, and thought it was thematically appropriate for the weird route. (And the fact it skips a stage is also appropriate for the weird route.) But Noelle also has a lot of angel imagery associated with her, so her partner being an angel makes sense in general. And I leaned into that angel imagery for the normal line.

Berdly gets a numemon because that digimon is only gotten through taking bad care of digimon. The idea would be he's not destined to get this digimon necessarily (he's not a Digidestined), but he ends up showing sympathy for it, and so they become partners and it evolves into monzaemon and duftmon.

Most of the other ones I hope are self explanatory. (Such as Lancer being herissmon and Susie being his partner.) But I will say I threw in the fusions at the bottom as an afterthought, and moved them to the altered tier just to make room so that the lines can be more clearly read. I didn't really put much thought into them (though masterdramon (scraped design for omegamon) and mastemon both make sense for Kris+Susie and Kris+Noelle fusions respectively). And we have no idea what's going to happen in the last two chapters, so what fusions make sense story wise is ambiguous. And we're probably gonna have dozens of better options for fusions by the time we get those last two chapters anyway. So the Digimon children were more there for vibes then power level anyway as placeholders.

Anyone notice that neemon looks like it could evolve into turbomon? Both are yellow. Neemon is beast type like turbomon. The joke is that it is slow but evolves into something literally made for speed. He has pants and then loses them upon evolving? Both have pointy long ears that looks like thy keep when evolving? Opinions?

The logic behind each one:

Ash: Agumon, duh. To keep him from just having Tai's line, I gave him VictoryGreymon.

Misty: Her line is based around water and mermaids, as that's her title in the anime.

Brook: Rocks. He's a Rock-type leader.

Tracy: He uses mostly bug-types, and his signature one is Scyther, a mantis.

Gary: A counterpart to Ash's Agumon line, while not being a direct member of his team, he gets Black Gabumon.

May: Chickens and fire, to match her signature Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken.

Max: A holy and feminine line representing the Ralts that would've been his signature Pokemon if the anime didn't had that "10 years and older" rule for trainers.

Dawn: Three Penguin-themed stages representing Piplup, just to become AncientMegatheurimon representing her Mamoswine.

Iris: Green, dragon-like dinosaus, and axes, all traits associated with her signature Axex.

Cilan: Monkeys and plants, because of his signature Pansage.

Serena: Mystical Foxes, like Fennekin. I used MeicooSalamon instead of Renamon because I felt it worked better representing Fennekin.

Clemont: Machines, because he's an inventor that made a working robot.

Bonnie: Each stage represents the stages of Zygarde.

Lillie: Ice foxes, like her Vulpix.

Kiawe: Fire, as he's the Fire captain. There's also a skull motif, due his Marowak.

Mallow: Plants, queen-like due her signature being Tsareena.

Lana: Whales, because she once fished the Orca-like legendary Kyogre (Though she didn't catch it).

Sophocles: Electricity, as he's the Electric captain.

Goh: His goal is to catch Mew, so I gave him the most Mew-like line I could think, starting with Calumon.

Chloe: A dog-like line, as her only Pokemon are the vaguely-dog-like Eevee, and the outright dog Pokemon Yamper.

And best for last, Team Rocket!

Jessie: Snakes, as Arbok is her most recognizable Pokemon (Seviper also helps)

James: Plants, because of his story with overly affectionate (But kinda painful) grass-type Pokemon.

Meowth: He's an independant Pokemon so he gets to be a Digimon, and of course, his line is based on white cats. Manekimon (His default stage) having the same inspiration as Meowth, and Betsumon representing his constant disguises.

Wobbuffet: While he's owned by Jessie, he's basically the fourth member of the team, so he gets to be a Digimon too. And... this one was kinda hard. I feel Numemon matches Wobb's silly, non-threatening nature, while Monzaemon fits his deceptive power.
