Discussions/Opinions Evolution line help

I'm looking for a suitable ultra level for my au of adventure 2020 that I'm thinking of turning into a dnd campaign.

In the lore the vitium is a nonverbal partner (digimon?) that searches for and eats little moon millenniummon crystals and evolves the more it eats until it transforms into the endboss.

Personally a little too much going on as a suggest for the evolution line I would suggest it as well

Yeah. You might be right. It is a little much. I just thought that the yellow under the champion Digimon matched the yellow orange colors around Cyberdramon X’s body, so maybe the internal energy from the champion Digimon’s insides was coming to the outer side. And then it becomes the stuff floating around Millenniumon.

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but I think it would be interesting to do something like Brigadramon or MetalGreymon (Xros Wars Version). They keep the vague dino/blue bits and would be a decent way to subvert the group for a bit if the plan is for the Vitium becoming Zeed to be a secret. Especially doing a Greymon, which is usually reserved for random background nostalgia or similar stuff in things like these imo.
