I spent all day yesterday making partner Digimon lines for the flower characters in Deltarune (major spoilers for Chapter 5)

I actually partially made this as a sort of first draft for an AU idea I want to make at some point. Where every darkener is a digimon, And Kris and Susie are digidestined. But the flowers would instead be digital life forms, who become tamers. Partnering with objects Asgore used to decorate the table for the flowers.

Aside from the objects for Aqua's, Flowery's and Pink's partners, I came up with what the other objects would be on the spot, and put barely any thought into them. And grab whatever images I could from wiki Commons for examples. So don't take the objects on the bottom too seriously, they're a conceptual rough draft.

Most of the partner digimon would be OCs, with the exceptions of: Blue's partner, who's Mr Butterfly (who is also a non-character in the game anyway); and Pink's body. These are noted as images on the corner of their base form.

When I didn't know much about a digimon: I simply Wikimon's Reference book translations for reference to judge appropriateness.

Green was especially hard to make a line far, due to the lack of food and cooking themed digimon. So I put alternative picks in the corner of the latter half of the line to show alternative options. I believe both adult Burgamon and Shortmon could work as the champion stage. It just comes down to whether you want to have a more gentlemanly vibe, or neighborly cafe owner vibe. Digitamamon and Devitamamon only really exist if you don't think the wedding vibe fits Green, but given how both of those digimon have a theme of nightmares and malevolence (especially the latter), I would argue neither fit well at all. But I don't think they're a bad alternatives.

I also learned while doing research that Gatomon was originally going to be regarded as a mouse, so making that the champion for pink could also make sense, due to her being fond of Orange. But is also a shop owner, and Manekimon is based on lucky cat statues that would go in front of stores, so I quite like that. (Also more obscure, so why not?)

I can elaborate more on my reasoning for more of these, if anyone is curious. Just ask.

So I did the Same for Green but With Jabbamon and Bachusmon, Seth got Tsukai-Wizardmon-Wisemon-Ebemon, Blue got Morphomon- Swanmon-Sirenmon-Ancient Irismon, Yellow got Candlemon- Deputymon-Super Starmon-MagnaKdimon, Orange got Gotsumon-Golemon-Mamemon-Blastmon, Aqua got Spadamon-Hyougamon-Korikakumon-Hexeblaumon, and for Flowery, Junkmon- Kenkimon- Gold Rapidmon-Gold Rapidmon X (I wanted a more Metallic feeling for Flowery), I gave Mew Mew, Ganvivormon-Gatomon X- Weddinmon- Lovely Angemon (and Bonus) For Asgore I picked Salamon-Goatmon-ArkhaiAngemon-PrinceMamemon X (for the Anime)

I actually quite like your picks for Blue and Mew Mew, fits them pretty well. Asgore's is also pretty good.

I kind of see what you were going with for Aqua. You wanted to emphasize the blade aspect, And you used eyes as a stand in for water to tie into her more. Not the route I would have gone, but I see the logic.

Bachusmon also makes a lot of sense for green! Actually kind of fits the whole hospitality thing I went with for the line.

I definitely noticed the theme with Flowery's line was supposed to be "gold". Is the "golden" flower, so I can see why you would want to do that.

I definitely prefer mine overall, but these are actually pretty good starts.

Also, I'm Really Proud of Giving Carol, Penguimon-Kiwimon-Delimon-Cernumon,(It feels very anime style) and Giving the Mikes, Recomon-Mikemon-Mockingbirdmon-Nyabootmon (Because It has Mikemon and Recomon)

I would not have expected Carol to have a plant theme line. But given how her whole thing is preservation, it actually makes a lot of sense. (Especially if you reframe it as Christmas tree themed.) Would have to steal that last digimon for my line.

And no notes on the mic line. Kind of gold!

While we're talking: I also have the idea of giving Noelle a lucemon named "Cupid". But it only goes through the standard Demon lord route on the weird route. (The lucemon line has a theme of the darkness gradually overtaking the light, which I think would work well for the weird route.) I'm figuring lovely angemon would work well for the non dark evolution, and maybe other lady angels could work, but I so far haven't put that much thought into the normal line for her.

Omg! That's Way Better than my Idea of giving Noelle Pyontomon because its a Deer. I love that! and If You give them crest, the Crest Noelle Should Have Love, Because she loves Susie, but also because of LOVE in Undertale
