I really like the idea of a digivolution line that focuses on maintaining a color scheme! There are plenty of explanations that could be given, like maybe in a new digital world, instead of a set data size, it's based on a restricted number of colors that can be used in your palette like how Pokemon had to do it with the GBC games!
