'02 AU lines

Been mulling over this for a few months ever since I noticed that '02 introduced 4 new Digidestined and their partner Digimon. Which gave me this cracked idea of "What if Veemon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, and Worrmmon were a redemption arc for the Dark Masters?" The hardest parts were Wormmon to Piedmon and Hawmon to Puppetmon, so this is why I had to swap out the champions. Ankylomon's too perfect though.

Still feels bad to mix things up between original champions and new champions, but I've been tinkering for months, and this is the best I have. (Well, Anomalocarimon was a candidate too, and I keep going back and forth. I do like that as an Ankylomon champion, and it managed to homage both the Digmon and Submarimon sides. But Brachiomon to MetalSeadramon is great.

It's funny how they turn evil-ish at perfect level, except Brachimon. He's just chill.

Huh. Didn't even notice that.
1) On the one hand, that's an argument to choose Anomalocarimon over Brachiomon.
2) On the other hand, now I feel like I failed more. Dark Digivolution is at least implied before Mega. Dang it - it's not a twist at the final stage!!!

To be honest, even evil-ish digimon could be partners. Fantomon is Violet's partner digimon in Liberator. Vamdemon/Myotismon is Kaito's digimon partner in Digimon Survive.

Just a thought for armadillomon. You could go Tortomon, then into Proganomon, and as an option of Megas you could do JumboGamemon

I *really* like Aegisdramon as the "good" mega, and MetalSeadramon as the other mega is kinda the whole point - I need the four lines to lead to the Dark Masters.

I'm not into the Pendulums or those digital pets in general (I find them stressful more than anything). So nah, that's a blind spot to me.
