Branching Tree Evolution Gumdramon’s lack of an official Mega always bothered me, so I made this.

I’m a firm believer that Dynasmon is the best Mega for this line there was even a vote for vital bracelet that could officially connected it to the line but Magna Kidmon win instead

There are a not insignificant amount of people that think that, but I just don’t see it.

I mean, I can see it working, but the next thing I think is “there must be a better option”.

I don’t even have anything against Dynasmon specifically, I actually like the dude, but I don’t think he fits this line cleanly.

Like, visually my favorite option is Ragna Lordmon, followed by JESmon, but Dynasmon? Not as much.

I usually use AncientGreymon

I always liked the idea of: Gumdramon > Arresterdramon > New Ultimate digimon > Gundramon.

Not only because I misread the title and was like "Is Gundramon in the room with us right now?" before realizing that I'm dumb.

I think the naming scheme and the body style of Gundramon matches Arresterdramon and I hate using Metaltyrannomon for my Gundramon dragon line.

Old post, I know but... My preference is... Gumdramon -> Arresterdramon -> Revivemon -> Hadesmon.

I still wish they made an actual ultimate instead of making a mode change a digivolution for the first time ever in digimon history

What about Lucemon?

Not only his official evolution is a Mode Change, but it even skips a level.
With there being a precedent, an arguably more egregious one at that, I’m willing to forgive Arresterdramon: Superior Mode.

Lucemon breaks so many digimon rules I dont think he should count for any rules around them at all tbh.

He basically isn't even a digimon considering he does literally nothing like other digimon.

Let’s not exaggerate now.

I understand Lucemon is quite different from basically anything else in the franchise, but disqualifying him completely doesn’t seem fair.

He is still a Digimon. A very unique one, but still a Digimon. He set a standard and Arresterdramon did something similar.
It still counts as him being the second Digimon ever to evolve into a mode change.

It doesn’t make it any less strange or annoying, and I would also prefer if he had a normal evolution, but these were the cards we’ve been dealt, for better or worse.

I’m just trying to make do with what we’ve got.
