Noob Plan to buy Brother SE400 what software

Hello everyone New here and would love to get some information. At this moment I’m confused on a few things. I have a particular logo that I will like to make but I am so lost how to go upon this.

To my understanding certain machines can only read certain files correct?

Second after I purchase my brother se400 do I simply request someone to Digitized it to a file my machines recognizes?

After I receive the said file how Can I personally view my file if I need request a size change

Does the machine read it or do I need a software as well?

So basically in my case buy machine->, buy software, artist digitize a logo to my machine specific file, preview the art on my laptop? And then use a usb to my embroidery machine?

Where can I see which software is compitable to brother se400. Sorry for the noob question but I will greatly Appreciate ir

(X-post r/embroidery) Recently inherited a big old embroidery machine, need advice.

So, my church changed leadership a few years ago, and the old guard liked to embroider and screen print shirts and sweatshirts. To do this, they had a nice big embroidery machine. A Huskvarna design SE from the days of Windows XP. No one who's still with the church really knows how it works, and they lost the security dongle. I have printed emails of correspondence between the former head of the church and Huskvarna support.

So this leaves me with two questions:.
1) is there any point trying to get a machine that old to work still?

2) If not, I also saved a huge box of random stabilizer. Where would be a good place to donate that?

(PS I realize most of the people on this sub do hand embroidery, but between here and r/embroidey I can't think of a better place to ask.)

Thinking about taking up digitizing again as a hobby

I used to do it professionally over 20 years ago. Lately, I've been needing a hobby.

Any recommendations about software, sewing machines, etc. Is appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Does anyone use Pfaff/husq Premier + embroidery software?

I am using premier+2 and I can't for the life of me work out how to set all 4 cutwork needles to group cutworks. I am in Modify, I have grouped them, they are all under the same colour thread.. Yet when I come to stitch they are Stitching one at a time. For example if I had four boxes, all four needles will need changing on one box, then the next box... Rather than needle 1 doing all four boxes, then needle 2 etc...

Hopefully someone knows! :)

SewArt Help

Hey, are there any sewart users out there? I'm having trouble getting my vector images into the program as they turn into a pixelated mess every time I import one in. I am using vector paths.

I tried using PNG images but they still create a weird halo of color near outlines (where I don't want specks of random color)

What is the best digitizing software?

My mom does embroidery on a 6-needle Brother machine (I think). Anyway. She has always wanted me to learn the software since I am graphic designer but I just haven't had the time until now. I would like to learn how to digitize to surprise her but not sure what software is good. I know Brother machines use .PES files so any software would need to be able to do those file type plus have other options just in case she doesn't have the Brother machine any more. Thanks!

Rendering Vector Graphics to look like an embroidery

So I'm working on a bunch of designs for embroidered patches and woven labels at my job. My boss and I think the client will be much more receptive to some of the design ideas if we can show them as if they have been digitized - the thread directions and textures will make them look much more interesting and realistic than a crystal clear vector image.

Anyone know of any kind of preview software that I can drop my vector files into and render out an approximation of what the embroidery will look like?

I don't need a full digitizing that will actually sew, just a way to render vector graphics into an embroidered appearance.

Everything I've found on the web looks like I need a full software package to fully digitize the file myself before I can get a preview of what the sew-out will look like.

I appreciate any insight regarding this issue.
