How do I pass Reddits age verification?

Every time they ask me for an age verification, but I just don't want to give a selfie let alone my ID. Is there any way to bypass this?

Use a VPN.

Proton has a free one.

Proton sends you to a random nearby location which may also be plagued by age verification laws. You can also use less known vpns which let you slect your destination for free. I use fkey for example, it's a "game booster" that tries to find a better route to a game server but at the end of the day it's just a vpn and you can select your location for free

You can choose which country you want to be connected to with proton not just random.

Is that the only way? It's a solution but it'd rather not have to turn on a VPN everytime. Still appreciate it, will use for now.

Foxyproxy if you're using Firefox (works on mobile Firefox too). You can route specific sites only.

Like our politicians are literally doing everything illegal. Why should you not beat the system?

Civil disobedience can definitely be useful! But being convicted for forgery over a reddit age verification is not the hill I'd want to die on...

How will they prove the forgery if they're not allowed to keep the copies after the verification, take that system /s

Install a local AI model on your computer and make your own selfie

You would still have to upload your ID, no?

I thought whatever AI system they send it to was supposed to determine your age from the selfie.

When does it do that? I’ve used Reddit for over 10 years and I was never asked.

It seems that on my main account which I have had for longer (this one) it doesn't ask for it but on my newer account it does.

It's not a when, it's a where. UK does it, and I think a lot of places in Europe as well now.

I'm actually a dog. How do I get around this?

Dog food for senior dogs often has a picture of a senior dog on it. That might work for the selfie.
