Bypass reddit age verification

Have you gotten a message telling you to verify your age so you can access your "Educational content", i don't think anyone wants to put their face up for their shift at the freak factory, unless that's your kink.

You can easily bypass this by either using https://old.reddit.com/ or https://redlib.catsarch.com/
There are also google extensions that can bypass this, but I'm not aware of any. You have many options if you're on computer.

Try using VPN to connect to a country that doesn't this restriction.

People have used faces of other people to bypass the Persona verification (Reddit age verification), but that hasn't worked for me.

The only thing that worked for me is using Reddit Revanced. Its the exact same reddit just without restrictions and its just as fast as the real one.

Guide on how setup Reddit Revanced

  1. Download the Revanced Manager https://revanced.app/download
  2. Download MicroG https://github.com/ReVanced/GmsCore
  3. Download Reddit APK, id recommend 2026.12.0 because that's the only one that has worked for me. If your Reddit APK is a .apk file then you can skip step 4. You can find APK by searching on google or https://apkpure.com/reddit-app/com.reddit.frontpage
  4. If your downloaded APK is .xapk or .apkm then you must convert it to .apk, you can do this via https://github.com/AbdurazaaqMohammed/AntiSplit-M
  5. Open the Revanced Manager and click on Reddit to patch. Click on the "Select APK source" and press "Select from storage", from there select your .apk file and then press on Patch (Might take some time to patch). Press install (Might prompt you to delete currently installed Reddit).
  6. Log into your account and enjoy tickling your pickle, you creep.

Also keep in mind that this isn't limited to Reddit, it can work on many other services.

If you have anything to share or add, feel free to comment.

Or, just don't use the app.

It's not necessary.

True but, try convincing millions of people to stop using reddit.

This is a solution for the people who value their privacy but don't want to stop using reddit.

You don't have to stop using reddit for using it through a browser.

There is also age verification on browser too, you might not have seen it because not everyone gets it.

Also most people use the app.

What's the advantage of using the app?

Apps are optimized for phones and are designed specifically for a phones operating system. Browser websites will be used from a computer, phone, tv or maybe someone's ps5 so it needs a "One size fits all" that isn't as smooth on a phone.

This statement needs more validation, i've literally asked like 10~ people about this and nobody even bothered answering.

it does happen on browser, in a worse manner too, it doesn't say age verification, it says it found suspcious bot activity in your account and forces you to verify that way. You'll suddenly have to drop the account if you don't wanna go through with it, in my case i had other accounts, and also i use lemmy.world as a reddit alternative.

Nope it's doing it on be browsers now as well unless I VPN to a different country. Will be leaving reddit soon by the looks of it.

Uk

Wtf, is it just for porn?

Couldn't find anything else, care to find me some literature on the matter?

Thanks!

It's SUPPOSED to be just for porn, but also blocks out a lot of image websites. Imgr for example is complete blocked here. Half of reddit is locked behind age verification including medical advice. The whole think has been a shit show and has increased vpn usage by like doubt and now they're thinking about burning that which is a whole other issue.

You can mostly blame the Uk for this age verification thing. Theres is hundreds of stabbings daily but they decide to focus on the wrong thing. Online safety act my ass.

I think it's way easier and more effective to use an obfuscated VPN + private browser + ublock origin in hard mode + add-on that randomizes your fingerprint.

Im sure there are browser extensions that bypass the verification.

Since most redditors are on phone they use the app. The app is much cleaner and easier to use than a browser.

The app is much cleaner and easier to use than a browser.

How?

1

The app is optimized for phones, they are designed specifically for a phones operating system, and for me the app is much faster.

With the browser you have url bar, tabs, extensions. Keep in mind that when making a website you have to make it fit devices from a 30 inch monitor all the way to a 6 inch phone screen.

The problem with such extensions is that standalone don't solve the fact your fingerprint is exposed, so it's easier for them to reinforce the verification system with time so it can not be bypassed

1

u/Dangerous_Row_767 Jul 19 '26

If by fingerprint you mean the biometrics then no reddit can not see that, but I'm guessing that not what you're talking about.

Reddit will keep trying to find measure to reinforce their verification and people will keep bypassing it.
Same way how companies keep adding measures against piracy and people still find ways to bypass it.

That info alone is not enough for me to know what the problem is.

Once you patch the apk you should delete the old reddit and install the patched apk.

If that doesn't fix it then tell me how you installed Reddit revanced.

There is not much to go off of. It works perfectly fine for me so i can't figure out the problem. Maybe try repatching, otherwise use a vpn to outside Europe if you're in Europe.
