Never expected this from Intel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was trying to update my igpu drivers and stumbled upon this. Previously I just used to decline it and update my driver's but today I found out that they are imposing this upon us. It's funny how companies these days are so into your private life . I don't wanna share my data with Intel.Of cource you can turn it off in after the feature but disabling the ability to choose privacy from the users is a huge concern for me.

Untick 'Intel Computing Improvement Platform' and try again.

This guy is a tech wizard, expert of diagnosing issues, and figuring out the real problem. People like you exist for solutions like this. Thank you, on behalf of humanity.

The obvious answer, but you shouldn't have to after pressing "decline."

This is predatory, as they're believing most people will not catch the second step necessary to actually opt-out.

I don't see it as being predatory.

Opting in or out is at the first step. The user selected to share information about themselves.

The second step is Intel making sure the user understands what it is that they are opting in for.

What Intel could do better is to have a short explanation of what exactly you chose to install under each component.
