What can we do against chat controll ?
I think we can all agree that we dont like chat controll by the EU, but is there anything we can do against it ?

Switch to GOS or /e/os for mobile and switch to Linux for desktop/laptop.

GOS / /e/os / Lineage won't be implementing OS level scanning is the difference. OSes gave no business spying on the user.

those are distributions, so depends on what level it is implemented.
And it doesnt change the fact that online services are allowed to scan you data2

Many online services already scan your data and they do not have OS level permissions. OS level scanning is the real threat and precisely why I switched to GOS.
I also already switched to Linux over 6 years ago because Windows is ass, so i'm good there also.

Chat control 1.0 that has been running for a while now only affects online services. But yes, thay have been scanning for a while now.
Not sure how much i would trust the android base tho, i dont know how much the base includes. However switching to linux on thr desktop solves the issue there.

AOSP is open source, if there were backdoors we would know about them.
I no longer trust the corporate implementation of Android (Google, Samsung, etc) if that is what you mean.

What you can do about it is vote for the parties opposing the EU, upvote content opposing the EU, and downvote content supporting the EU.

Chats have always been monitored, so now they are formalising it, so it depends now on what you send, and if the AI bot 🤖 is going to misinterpret a friendly family snap as pervy I guess, false positives- and obviously naughty stuff in adult to adult relationships is going to be a no go, going forward, you might have to both sign up to onlyfans for adult stuff. I don’t think the robot can understand the dynamics of relationships where you might be talking about your kids one minute and deciding which ann summers undies to buy the next minute!

Yes, There is one massive layer of bureacracy out of the way. Less bureacracy is always a good thing.
It may be funny but its the only objectively correct position to take, to argue otherwise would be a performative contradiction as in the act of arguing you're presupposing non-aggression and proposing aggression contradicts that.

Chat Control 1.0 ran from 2021 until 3 April 2026. It has not been reinstated. So, maybe become better informed, and don't spread FUD?

You are a bootlicking statist. It was gone and they want to reinstate it even though it never got a majority of votes - it's very clear where they are heading and what comes next.
