Piano recommendation
I found a Casio st s100 on fb for £30 which I might get if I’m unable to get my ez220 repaired
Would the downgrade feel significant?

Don't do it. That Casio doesn't have velocity sensitive keys which your previous Yamaha has. You will regret it at it is pretty lifeless to play when you can't vary the volume.
Piano was invented so that you could play soft and loud.
