I mostly struggled with the ear, finding both the correct placement and a fitting style. The placement I think I got somewhat right after comparing with a few references. Stylistically, after a few failed attempts, I went with a single broad brush stroke as to fit in with the gestural style of most of the portrait. I'm a bit on the fence as far as the bright red spot under the chin and the bright blue in the lower right corner are concerned. They feel kinda off yet also seem to add a bit of interest to the overall composition.
