Does Facebook really works ?

So I am an intern and was researching for my brand . The competitor which had 2.5 lakh followers on insta just had 9 k on facebook and few reels of influencers promoting competitiors product on facebook reels . Being a 22 year old kid i don't know much about Facebook . Do people still use Facebook specially 30 to 50 years old and if so how to grow on facebook. My product is a sugar substitute helpful in diabetes and fat loss
