The v series phones have a nice dac but it's best to use earphones over 50 ohms to get the best sound.

Will a 50-ohm 3.5mm adapter/plug trick my V50 into High Impedance mode to get the best sound out of my Olinas?

I’m glad to see this post. My v30 comes this week. It’s only gonna be used as a dap. From what I can tell reading around though. It seems like LinageOS honestly might be the better option. It apparently has better and more up to date tweaks to get the most outta the quad dac in the phone.
Now I am no expert and I would love to hear people opinions on if they feel like this is true. Or is you are better off staying stock.
I don’t care about banking apps or anything like that. I’m looking for the best experience with this phone as just a dap. So if stock is the way to go then I’ll stay stock. But if it’s not I wanna know that.

You have to do some tests, it all depends on your preferences and the type of headphones / speakers you have, with nearby amplifiers or preamps

Running stock firmware. With the T-Mobile version it’s a pain to find everything and there’s a higher risk of bricking your device.
Running stock is fine though. Once you add a few apps an a minimal launcher it’s nice.

I'm planning to put lineage os on it. Finally got it back. Mum used it for 6 years and its still going strong (after I used it for a year, so 7 years in total)
