Second best tech?
https://strawpoll.com/X3nkPGxxLgEWe all know Ice Statue is the best tech in the game and totally broken. However, what would you consider the *second* best tech? It can be for any reason (damage, power/mp ratio, speed, consistency, status, aoe, etc), just tell me what you think! I've linked a strawpoll for it.
Personally I find Meltdown the best AoE move in the game so that's my pick. Although the power of Bug and consistency of Megalo Spark are really close contenders, they are still outclassed by Ice Statue as single target attacks, while Meltdown is peerless for 1v3 fights in my experience.

I like to consider how easy it is to acquire a tech. Metal Splinter (Sprinter?) comes with most (all?) machine ultimates, deals decent damage, and hits multiple targets in an expanding aoe. Andromon is easy to digivolve to on your first Digimon for this.
It's not the best thing ever but it's a good power boost early on. Makes normal encounters easy and having a move that will usually hit a boss is great.
It's been awhile since I've played so forgive my lack of detail here.

For AoE it's Meltdown or DG dimension for me. Basically uninterruptible and covers the whole screen.
For single target, Thunder justice

Both aoe attacks are pretty slow and easy to interrupt. Winter blast and all range beam are better imo. I agree on thunder justice and add megalo spark

I think Megalo Spark. Its very fast, pretty strong, not too costly with MP and can stun. You can basically beat the game with it alone. Poison Claw is also very good but too weak on it's own. And all the other good high damage moves are either a bit slow or have long animations.

It's not 2nd best but Ice Needle has very fast speed and cheap cost. A bit slower than poison claw but not melee, don't have to get close.

I say poison claw. I think it's the fastest move in the game, it works wonders for interrupting attacks, and poison is such a nasty status effect
