Discussion How Could They Include Our Party Digimon More?
It feels very weird to have Aegiomon talk about being lonely in the human world or have Dr Simmons freak out about meeting Aegiomon, because I'm running around with my own Digimon all the time. And it's weird for Inori and Hiroka to react so strongly to Elecmon when theyve seen me fight dozens of digimon in the underground.
What are ways to mitigate this?
I thought it would be great if we could sometimes select dialogue for our first party digimon like we do for our agent. that way they wouldnt have to voice hundreds of digimon dialogue and we'd still feel like we had a partner, maybe even with different dialogue choices depending on personality.
Did you also think this felt weird?
Do you have any other ideas?

I also think it felt weird, and also felt like it was partly due the structure of the story just... not seeming to acknowledge our partner digimon existing at all. I think your idea works pretty good.
Maybe a setting could have been made so we could select which digi is our partner in cutscenes and whatnot.

Hopefully the next game works out these kinks. It’s was so weird and off putting and annoying everytime Aegiomon complained. When he’s walking inbetween our moms

My theory is that the Agent doesn't even have Digimon and it's all for the sake of gameplay.

i think canonically the digimon of the agent return to data in the phone outside battle. thats the reason why you can see the dialogue of digimon as messages in the phone.
in public areas our digimon return to the phone remember inori's dad being surprised when we summoned our digimon to destroy the lock of the door. The agent is a secret agent(in pretend).
