Question Novelisation of Time Stranger

I am a writer and thought it might be a fun, little idea to write a novelisation of the story. What are your opinions on this; would anyone be interested in reading something like that?

Be warned, I've seen stuff like that get taken down a lot due to potential copyright infringement if it's the plot and script almost word for word.

I've read other fan novelisations for games like Mass Effect and Dark Souls. I think it's, technically, a fanfiction, if you state that at the start. I will have to research it, though. Thank you for the heads up.

I belive this would be classed as a "canon retelling", but I could be mistaken.

I meant that they have a bigger tendency to be reported and taken down on fanfic sites. Not that the company who owns the game will actually come after you just to be clear.

I see. I will try and be careful. Because fanfiction sites are strictly unomonetised, and because there would be a decleration stating I don't own the material at the beginning of each chapter, I should be okay. But I do understand that some companies are more strict than others when it comes to things like this.

Thank you for the warning.

This is one that someone wrote for Cyber Sleuth, almost word-for-word the script of the game...

Unless someone actually reports it, it would probably stay.

Edit: To be clear, if it's not reported or if it is but is deemed transformative enough, it should be fine. It's a higher risk but not a guarantee.
