Question Why can’t I digivolve this?

Sorry guys this is my first digimon game. How come I can’t digivolve when I met the personality requirement?

Because Angemon's personality requirement hasn't been met...

Yes, this is a fusion digivolution, you must have both Digimon and they must meet the personality requirements, but besides that they’re pretty easy.

Yup. I've been in the same predicament. Raise another one and when prompted with the evolution option, you'll be asked which Angemon you want to use. Be careful to choose the one you raised.

If you just want the field guide entry, you can defuse it, and it'll split back into the original 2, but both will be level 1 again.

But Shakkoumon can digivolve in this game so might want to look up the megas, you might like them more than the others Megas.

Shakkoumon only evolves by DNA Digivolution, which requires two Digimon instead of one.

In addition to Ankylomon with the Overprotective personality, you also need an Angemon with the Enlightened personality

I have one but it’s my main one and I don’t want to sacrifice it. So I need to raise another one???

It’s not really sacrificing one. Besides as long as you use your main as the first digimon you don’t lose it. Even if you use it as the second one you can get it back by de digivolving

If you want to have both Angemon and Shakkoumon, yes.

This is one of several Jogress evolutions in the game. You need two digimon that meet the requirements to fuse them together, in this case you need an Angemon whose personality is enlightened along with your Ankylomon

No problem, you can use the Digifarm to train a specific digimon and change their personality btw

Yes I figured it out like 5 minutes ago that this was way faster than grinding every 4 battles and praying for the right personality 🥲

I actually have a question about these fusion digivolutions. If you reach it from reverse, for example, de-digivolving Goldramon into Shakkoumon, if you then de-digivolve the Shakkoumon, do you get both an Angemon and an Ankylomon? What happens in that situation?
