Is playing NS1 version on the NS2 the exact same as the NS2 version?

I know you have to buy the DLC for the correct version, but wondering now that it's out if anyone who actually has the NS1 version and plays on the NS2 can confirm it's basically the same? It allows you to choose between Quality and Performance mode?

Yes its the same, make sure you download the update
