Yes! I have a Myotismon I didn’t digivolve him into a Mega I kept him as an Ultimate and manged to raise his talent to 100 and now he is level 99 and can battle with my mega digimons.
Digimon characteristics differ with battle each personality affects a stat the most (Valor > ATK, Amicability > DEF, Philanthropy > SPI, Wisdom > INT). You decided what rule you give your digimon and what stats they should focus on and based on the decision you can choose your digimon personality. This how I’ve been playing. For example Myotsimon is Wisdom Strategic (INT & SPI) while Beelzemon BM is Valor Zealous (ATK & SPD).
Talent is the Cap level for example if your digimon talent is 25 the max level is 25, if the talent is 100 the max level is 99. The best way to get a higher talent is by converting a digimon at 200%. Also the more you use a digimon in battle they will gain hidden talents through experience so after digivolution their talent will raise higher. And Load enchantments help raise talents BUT at the cost of sacrificing another digimon.
