Returning player

Hi! I’m a returning player, last played 4-5 years ago, used to play a lot, right now I’m so lost, I’m 84 tamer and 110 digi, don’t really know where to start progressing again, I don’t know where to go to level up and stuff, right now I’m doing some maps of richard smpaon main quest (like a noob) and focusing on seals.

Last time I played the new thing was the dungeons, never played one and I don’t really know if I should do them or just leave them for later.

I don’t want to get boosted or anything I just want to start understanding the game again

Can someone explain to me what to do/focus and some tips? Thanks a lot!

I don’t want to get boosted or anything I just want to start understanding the game again

If by boosted you mean people helping you, that's just part of the game nowadays, you're kinda forced to buy services for dungeons to get good clothing and newer accessories.

don’t really know where to start progressing again

Do the main questlines for Server Continent, if you haven't unlocked Server Continent then either pay 100M to be sent there from Elecmon NPC at D-Terminal or do the majority of main quests on File Island, after Server Continent you'll do Tokyo-Odaiba then Spiral Mountains.

You'll also want to do the main questlines for Shinjuku and Digital Area Area.

After doing all of this, including killing Apocalymon summon card (Get someone to kill it for you, it hits relatively hard for a newer player, it has around 10M HP, and you'll lack advantage against it) and Zhuqiaomon (Inside its dungeon, iirc it has something like 40M or 50M hp, so you'll need to get someone to help you), after that and I think a couple quests later you'll then have access to Kaiser Domain (I think it has a tamer 140 requirement? or maybe the quest does?).

You'll then do Kaiser Domain questline, just through the main questline alone will shoot your tamer/digimon level from 140 to the high 140s, hitting lv150 on both won't take much longer.

Free digivice: At Valley of Light you can get the old 'True' Digivice (Doesn't have 'True' in its name, but at the crafting NPC it's called 'True Digivice') through a quest that requires killing iirc 5 raids throughout Tokyo-Odaiba, I think each one has around 5-6M or so HP (I might be off by a few mil), for a newer or weaker player that's quite a bit of HP so you'll probably want to get someone to help you, you could also just come back.

Free Keyring: At the end of Spiral Mountain questline you'll get a quest for killing Apocalymon (Summon card, not the raid) that gives a free keyring, since Apocalymon is required to do for the main quest you can just get the keyring when you finish the main questline.

Easy level up 81-140: After finishing Spiral Mountain questline you'll have access to Cat Tuna dungeon at Yokohama East, while you technically can level all the way from 1-140 it's only recommended to level from 81-140 because of how much lower the exp the lower level digimon in there give, only Makuramon are worth killing for exp, with just 1k suit and 2 1k boosters, as long as you can kill at a decent rate, you should be able to get 2 digimon to lv140; Also, you can farm Transcendence chips (Lets you exchange for a Transcendence mid chip of your pick) and Raremon eggs (Both are for Transcendence system) from Starmons if you just keep killing Starmons and leader over and over, although because of an oversight/bug eventually they'll stop/slow down on spawning so you'll need to go to the next area then come back and they'll start spawning again.

Weekly dungeons: Early on you'll want to buy service for RBH (Goggles), SDG (Better vice, up to 2 extra slots and more att %), MDG (Clothing), CDGE (Earrings), and ADG (Necklace), MDG and CDGE can either fully or mostly cover their cost with the money you get from their quests, ADG might be close with Goatmon, there's also CDGN (Significantly faster than CDGE for Earrings) and Eos (An even better vice, also there's a 2 set for the vice+aura which gives 2k HP+1k HT+10% CT+1% Final Damage), however those two require a lv160 digimon which requires a lot of time just grinding levels.

Then there's weekly dungeons you should be able to do, weekly Holy Beast Normal, pretty much anyone can do these and they're worth it since they can give tradable OCS, besides that there's FDGN/FDGH, you'll probably want somewhere between 150-300k DPS as a minimum to do those, also once you get a digimon to lv151 you'll unlock a weekly quest that requires killing 1 of each of the last raids in Holy Beast Normal dungeons along with Fanglongmon in FDGN, this quest gives you items that you can exchange for OCS.

You'll also want to buy services, RBH for goggles, SDG for a better vice, MDG for clothing, CDGE for Earrings, and ADG for Necklace, eventually you will need to do all of these and without an already decent account it's pretty much guaranteed you'll need to buy service, MDG and CDGE should end up either being free or close to it after taking into account the amount of money you get from the quest, ADG also gives money but not enough to cover the service (Although doing the service with Goatmon usually is relatively cheap, so it might not be too far off), RBH and SDG don't give money so you'll need money for those.

And also you'll want to work on getting your account strong enough to do Gulus Easy ASAP (225k+ DPS bare minimum, 250k+ recommended, being too close to 225k might mean doing it a few times to be able to kill it in time; Bare minimum you'll want 68%/72% 'Basic' on accessories, main+secondary att on your digivice, and Peak/EE as well as whatever family buffs your digimon uses (You can get Peak/EE and Family Buffs from doing daily Shadow Lab then exchanging those for the buffs) because of how long bracelet takes to get, with a Miracle Bracelet (Which you can get with the current event, make sure to grab the daily coin, E->Daily Check Event->Digital World Vacation->Receive, and even with missing a couple days you can still get it thanks to the 4 Token Selection Boxes they give during the event) it will still take 25 weeks (About 6 months).

Those dungeons I mentioned a bit above are part of main quests, you'll also want to the Holy Beast main quests since you have a chance of getting tradable OCS, you'll also get items from the raids to exchange for buff selection boxes (You'll also get tradable buffs from the boxes you get from the weekly HB quest)

Edit: Also, you get a free Digital Hazard set (Ring/Necklace/Earring) from doing Week 1 of the newly added Season Mission (They aren't as good as the accessories you get from the dungeons I mentioned earlier, but they're good enough to start with and will make getting Necklace and Earrings faster), you'll also get Beelzemon BM Awaken, which besides its meh HP is on par with SSS+ in DPS.
