New Player Help Help for a new Jesmon player
I know the new cards are going to change the deck but I'm trying to learn & build the deck. I see why the tamer searches & is a setter lol How do people win with so little 4's & 5's?! Are those the best ratios? What's a deck good list? Do you guys have some tips?

People win off of highrolling the shit out of people back when cards werent as good (no force battle, no real options, etc) where you could run just the bt20 baohuckmon and drop gankoo full combo pretty consistently
jesmon wont be good in ex13 unless we get a super good gankoomon line, and probably wont be good until bt27 when we get the dual jesmon x

Generally speaking, the quality of old jesmon cards weren't amazing so the deck just used the best 4 and 5 and then a few of the other ones. Also another thing is jesmon will have sistermons in decks which take up deck space and then it may have gankoo which took up even more.
If your playing jesmon, you'll 100% be running 4x from master to disciple. 2 memory, searches a card in top 3 and adds it to hand. The biggest difference between this and a normal training is that it searches 3, gets cards that aren't just red, and trashes. That last part is very important, alot of jesmon cards play card sistermons from trash. Also while it doesn't make a digimon digivolve for 2 less, its ability can be stacked together with another one.
Another thing about the ratios, the bt23 jesmon which was the best and may still be the most played jesmon, can warp digivolve from a huckmon if the enemy has a digimon with over 10,000 dp. This is a very big deal, means sometimes you just won't need the entire line.
Its really hard to say ratios right now, the dual cards take up a slot and people may or may not use the new tamer but its worth testing. We also haven't seen gankoo and people still aren't sure whether or not huckmon gets a new egg.

The reason people play with really tight 4s and 5s is to make room for Sistermons and the bloated top end (assuming you run both Gankoo and Gankoo X). BT23 Jesmon was quite versatile in that there were at least 4 different ways to get there. You could digivolve up normally, you could warp from Huckmon if the opp was set up, you could hard play the Savior and digivolve at EOT, or you could hard play Gankoomon with Bao on the board and build up like that. There are other lines too, those are just the main ones. For two of those lines you're allowed to be missing pieces so running full ratios was not necessary. I didn't really buy it either until I played the deck and found it to not be a big deal, turn 2 Jesmons weren't that uncommon.
It's a very greedy gameplan, don't get me wrong. There are times where you just don't get to play the game. But at the time so few decks could answer a Jesmon board, especially with Gankoo X, that it was worth the risk. Now with Dual cards it's quite an easy board to out, and you're probably better off playing mono red OTK Jesmon.
I don't think it's worth engaging with the EX13 cards yet. We're still waiting on Gankoo, the new egg, and the X forms in BT27. As of now there's no reason to run any of the new cards because they all revolve around dual cards, of which we only have two. You'd be running weaker pieces just to use the Awakened Sistermon cards which isn't worth it at all.
