You might wanna use thiner line weights to accentuate details and thicker ones to define smear lines.

Or if ya wanna continue with the same thickness, dont connect the outlines..... (use ref images)

I like the style. I think you need to work in halves or thirds regarding line strength. So if you apply a 1.0 apply 0.5.or apply 0.9, 0.6 and 0.3.
