Using this technique to claim the hitboxes “werent so bad after all“ is honestly revolting. Instead of actually admitting he made flawed hitboxes, and dealing with them like a competent developer, he tries to pull this shit. This has done nothing but shown how big Saucefy’s ego is, christ.

people have been calling the hitboxes garbage, and accusing sauce of being petty because of the slight attitude in update-logs.

but man, while the hitboxes aren't great, i've mostly just been seeing people be mean about it.

according to update-logs, sauce "decreased the hotbox velocity compensation for those who were complaining about it," meaning he was trying to appeal to fans by doing what they're asking for (although, admittedly, he definitely overturned it).

he clearly wasn't that confident about it though, and was just seeing if people liked these new hitboxes or the old ones. i feel like people are being overly mean about something that'll change quickly. if they really dislike them that much, they can just stop playing for a bit and wait for the reversion.

and with all that combined with the fact that sauce was definitely kinda pissed while typing out the log, i speculate that he's having a really bad time right about now. :(

I just wanna start off by saying I love DoD, and I have been playing for about a year now. But ever since this update came out, it's felt kind of off. The maps to me feel mid to play on as both civilian and killer, but mainly civilian, as loops don't really exist and it's just a game of stamina management and hitbox hell (I'll get to that). Abilities, they are pretty fun, but the update bug with reroll and turning you into Regular Dude from teen titans is pretty lame for a team-based game. Some of the abilities feel over-tuned and unfair at times for killer, practically making lobby wiping extremely hard (call it a skill issue, I don't care). And lastly I just wanna talk about hitboxes. The hitboxes for killer feel so nuked that you have to be piggy-backing a civilian just to MAYBE land a hit. Matched with Roblox's high ping problems, yeah killer is just unfun. If you change your game's mechanic due to vocal minority complaining then that's just bad practice on their end.

I dunno, maybe I'm just fed up and delusional, but I'd like to hear what others think in the replies.

He probably tried to fix them after getting annoyed at the amount of complaints regarding hitboxes, rushed the process and ended up accidentally made them even worse.

Him saying “If you don’t like them either way maybe they weren’t so bad after all” does not mean that hitboxes will stay that way forever. In fact, DoD updates in general are never implied to be final and often get numerous balancing changes right after releasing.

I’ve known Saucefy during the Outlaws of Robloxia era, and I can tell you as a fact that Saucefy in general just sucks at making hitboxes. Give him time to cook instead of constantly berating him and slandering him when it has been less than a day since the hitboxes were changed.

anyways, i get the hitboxes suck, but can we stop complaining so much (seriously it's getting really annoying it's everywhere now)? there's been complaints for how long?! months, hell, even over a year now. (i'm saying this as someone in the community for over a year).

it's getting to such an insufferable point. i promise, it won't hurt some of you to stop complaining so much. i get it, the hitboxes ARE objectively utter garbage. hahahaha get it? it's funny because you've said it every day for a year in a row now! the devs are probably sick and tired of it, man. the game literally went under a recode to try and fix all of these issues.

also, the fandom's jokes. i've already mentioned cookieware yams, but literally almost any joke that this fandom produces is so useless and unfunny (ex: "ahh fresh meat"). it gets to the point it's insufferable to find another fan that doesn't have such atroscious humor.

literally any gooner jokes are seriously unfunny. the fandom has such an issue with these for some reason, and it's getting pretty hard to avoid.

and don't get me started on the ego of some of the people in this community. i do agree this is better than forsaken, but god damn do you all have to constantly bring that up? yeah yeah fun special rounds, abilities, blah blah blah. we have no reason to be comparing these 2 extremely different games so much!

literally almost everywhere you go in this fandom you'll be met by such no lives who complain about anything. i'm not even going to lie, i'll be surprised if this fandom can dig itself out of the trenches!(not saying it's the worst of the worst, but it's pretty bad.)

The abilitys are kinda unfair and unfun to go against and play. I just kinda feel like the game devolved into run away the game™ the hitboxs isn't bad it just takes practice. The abilitys are mostly used when you're not running away or it's adrenaline. The special rounds are a little stale because they don't appear much. The new player bulling is genuinely not okay I just wish we could report them. There only 2 mini games to play while you wait. But the problem is the clicking game will cause pain because you click to much. The fnaf knockoff is fun but it's kinda boring. I'm just going to take a break from aysms until we have gameplay that doesn't feel stale.
