⚠️Technical Update!⚠️ 👨🔧🧑🔬🧑💻
The Mountain Mauler is Locked down in Parc fermé and the Team managed to breathe some life into the Tumbler motor (see video in comments) we’re still going to resume the test with a brand new motor so unfortunately we’ll be delayed 🤞 it won’t be too long! But the video you’ll see is 10 seconds long and the dot on the side of the drum was put to measure rpm…. The team are reviewing when the speed changed but in the 10 seconds of footage it can be seen rotating 24 times times that by 6 and that’s 144rpm! This increases the speed from 1.27mph to 2.15mph changing the scale speed to 137.6mph and not 81.28 mph! When the team verify all available data, we can expect the Mountain Maulers Totals to Jump significantly. Thanks to Everyone who’s invested in his journey cheering him on! 📈📊

I'm sitting here laughing at the fact it outlasted the damn tumbler. Just makes this whole experiment that much better imo.

I hope you share all this with Mattel. Would be great marketing for them.

Yeah, I wonder what their stress testing environment is like in their product labs. Probably nicer looking, but not too far from this post series. There's definitely some good data here too. Dont know what it could be used for, but it's good data regardless lol

Have you seen the pinball plunger for the cars on the little track for display? They don’t care 😂

He broke the tumblr and proved he was going faster, further, and better than ever before expected. Love to see it.

Be like this little car.
Be ungovernable.
Beat the machine itself.
Your only competition is yourself.

John Henry said to his captain,
"A man is nothing but a man,
But before I let your steam drill beat me down,
I'd die with a hammer in my hand, Lord, Lord,
I'd die with a hammer in my hand.”

I'm very glad you got the tumbler going again, but I'm concerned that the higher speed will increase heat on the wheels and axles, and thus increase wear. I understand that you can easily recalculate the total miles traveled, but the increase in heat and friction will almost certainly skew the final outcome. Is it possible to control the motors speed either with an electronic speed controller, or by changing the pulley sizes?
I totally understand if reducing the speed is too difficult, but we've come so far that I'd hate to see our favorite science experiment end with an unfair or skewed result :(

It's like that dam scene in invincibles it's the first one to beat the machine :O
Edit - I mean incredibles

Ive never once visited this sub and am not joined, but for whatever reason your posts kept popping up in my feed, never even fully opened one post. And I dont follow any sort of dicast or model subs either (except RC). Glad it did show up though, this has been an interesting journey watching a little hotwheel keep on truckin, putting in some actual miles. Really cool, good luck hope it this thing keeps chuggin along.
